Signpost 34
In the absence of work, with only tasks left to do, no workplace would suffice.

Key Chapter: 27
• 34.1 Thinking about work and the workplace during a pilgrimage leads to insights which lean heavily towards their purpose, meaning and essence. These reflections might seem outside the realm of workplace design, but these Signposts could help design better places of work. p.102
• 34.2 “One who knows the why, can bear almost any how”, might sound a bit too existentialist for a book on workplace design, but if slightly adjusted, its wisdom becomes very relevant: one who doesn’t know the why, might not bear any how. When fleshed out more it becomes our last Signpost. p.102
